Jeff Kimbell, President
Jeffrey J. Kimbell is President of Magnum Entertainment Group, Inc. and has held that position since the founding of the company in early 2003. In addition to his work for Magnum, Mr. Kimbell is President of Jeffrey J. Kimbell & Associates (Washington, D.C.) and Managing Director of Jackalope Real Estate, LLC (Park City, UT and Los Cabos, MX).
Like many children of the 1980's, Mr. Kimbell spent much of his adolescence seeking out great bands and venues. With two older siblings, eight and six years his senior, opportunities abounded to attend a variety of concerts in the Chicago area (a quick communte from his hometown of Lake Forest, IL) and beyond. Following his graduation from St. George's School in Newport, RI where he had chased live music in Boston and Providence, Mr. Kimbell moved to Dallas, TX to attend Southern Methodist University (SMU). While at SMU, he joined the Alpha Tau Omega (ATO) fraternity and was twice elected social chairman due to his unique zest for life, knowledge of live music, and ability to throw large, successful gigs with notable southern bands such as Allgood, Beanland, The Grapes, Dash Rip Rock and many others.
On the academic front, Mr. Kimbell's work at SMU in political science ultimately led him to Washington, DC immediately following his graduation in the spring of 1993. Upon arrival in D.C, he joined The Capital Club of Washington, a 28-year old social club with a reputation in the nation's Capitol for throwing theme parties, including Swine on the Vine, Santa Soiree and the summer-time Sinatra Soiree. Soon after joining, Mr. Kimbell and a few close friends leveraged their talents to raise the profile of the organization. Mr. Kimbell was able to reinvigorate the Capital Club's premier events by utilizing high-end venues in the D.C.-area, including various embassies, the Kennedy Center, and prominent vineyards and farms in nearby Virginia and Maryland. Over the last 15 years, he has served as Secretary, Vice President and President of the Capital Club, and a board member from 1995-2001. He still remains an active member today.
In the spring of 2003 Magnum Entertainment Group, Inc. was formed with two partners. Magnum's mission is simple: to professionally plan and flawlessly execute high-end, live music events around the world. Magnum's goal is straightforward: to deliver unforgettable, full-service events that promote the client and enable those underwriting and attending the event to enjoy the experience and never be concerned with unnecessary details.
Mr. Kimbell is also currently serving as President of the City Tavern Preservation Foundation (CTPF), the 501 (c)(3) arm of the City Tavern Club (CTC) of Washington, non-profit, National Historic Site. Mr. Kimbell resides in Washington, D.C. with his wife Jessica Clement Kimbell, a local graphic and web designer.
